In Weilgosh v. London District Catholic School Board, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario considered a claim of discrimination based on disability. The applicant, Weilgosh, alleged that the school board failed to accommodate their medical condition, resulting in adverse impacts on their employment. The Tribunal examined whether the school board met its duty to accommodate under the Ontario Human Rights Code. The Tribunal ruled in favor of Weilgosh, affirming that failure to provide reasonable accommodation constitutes a breach of human rights. This case underscores the necessity of addressing workplace barriers for individuals with disabilities.
